How it works
For those that have not done it before or, seen it on TV or at a show.
As we all have different abilities and we don’t want the situation of pairing two members that are a total mismatch, we’ll run three pre knockout rounds.
Each pre-knockout round the winner will be paired from group 1 with winner of group 2. Same goes for the losers of said groups. This goes for the other groups too ie; group 3 / 4 group 5 / 6 and so on.
By the time we get to the first knockout round we should be very close to the right pairings on abilities, so much for that part.
Races.
Most races will take place on the night of a Thursday fun night, being three lap race events on the theme of that evening, so not to worry about having no time for practise.
Being only three laps most will only take 10 minutes or so, other members on the night can watch from the viewing lounge, support or barrack, or just take 5 for a coffee, smoke, loo or whatever.
Now if you can’t make a TFN, then you can if you wish use private PM with your combatant and arrange your own meet to race your knockout round.
If your private life is such, you just can’t get it raced in an acceptable time and members are waiting too long, then a vote to carry on and those waiting will have a bye through to the next round.
Sorry this was a bit long, always seems long when writing it down, for those that know it’s pretty straight forward. Best thing is keep an eye on your pairings do your races as soon as private life permits and leave the rest to me and those that lend a helping hand.
It is good fun, something fresh and a good talking point that is if you get the time to post your comments.
Phillip.
😀
Yes, but you have to race Stig
Good work Phillip! Do I get a bye through to the final :-)))
As my IT skills are not even close to second rate, this is the best I can come up with, I'm sure it will bring a smile to the face of the more experienced of you.
Here I'll be able to update as we go without having to search through endless posts to find and update it at GTP.
Bookmark the page for one click access and you should find it helpful too.
As you can see from the layout, you can comment to the OP or, reply direct to a comment from another members. Help to keep things tidy, on subject and a more of a community feel, I do hope you like the add on idea to TFN, I know you working folk have limited time, and you would like to find things easy at the click of a button.
Your humble servant Phillip.
